I am in Halifax right now. I have used my tent for a sum total of two nights. Then Kate and I packed it up.
It was freezing. I could see my breath. In June. Canada is unnatural!
I have to type fast, so excuse any typos. Umm... We were at a really nice campsite in Cape Breton. I will have tons of great pictures when I get back.
We saw whales. Well, we hunted then, just without the killing part. But we have pictures and video of them.
It isn't a terribly fun place. Everyone in the town we were in new we were "the NY tourists" pretty quickly. They'd whisper and laugh at us in French. Okay, maybe we were just being paranoid. We may be home a little early, owing to the fact the vehicle that is pulling the camper is on its last legs... or wheels, as the case may be.
I am surviving. I don't believe I have e-coli so far, though I have sunburn. Halifax is evidently the big city of Nova Scotia. It's like NYC, except tiny and pretentious. Like they are trying very hard to be NYC, but are in denial of the fact.
I am on my fourth book of the trip. It's been educational. Postmodernism, "Visitors," Psychics, and vampires. Anyway, I think other people need to use this terminal. Love you all, at least as much as I did when I left.

He has sold jewelry in Victorian England, confused children as a mad scientist, filed away more books than anyone has ever read, and tried to inspire the learning disabled and gifted. When not writing, he can be found biking, hiking the Adirondacks, grazing on snacks at art openings, and keeping a straight face when listening to people tell him they are in touch with 164 species of interstellar beings. He likes when you comment.
