Everest

Why are we as people, as humans, so obsessed with seeing everything? Why must we always touch, always taste in order to understand? Even children are like this, they need to feel, to experience in order to see something fully, but aren't there things that could and should be only imagined? Everest is my personal imagined heaven, not the reality of Everest, you understand, but the one in my mind. The one where nothing can be heard, it's too cold to even taste, and on top of the world you look down at the birds that fly beneath you. The wind isn't strong, and the snow covers the ground on the peaks below us. Kamshung and the Lotse Face are visible in relief and you feel like there is nothing between you and flying, no ground, no s

gs?

I don't want to ever see Everest from the top; I want to see it when I close my eyes.
