Men in Black
Theories.
Defense.
Bibliography.
Theory: MIB are government agents.
Pro:
- They often purport to be agents of one world government or another.
Con:
- They behave unethically, if not outright illegally.
- The same type of agents are seen in every country.
- Governments disavow any knowledge of these agents.
Theory: MIB are "Walter Mitty" types, acting out a role in the UFO community to feel important.
Pro:- They often act like disturbed people.
- Such instances have been proven to have occured in the past.
Con:
- It would have to be a nearly world wide contingent of these people.
- They are able to afford new looking cars and clothes for each visits.
- They have knowledge of sightings that witnesses have told no one.
- They often are reported to display "unnatural" powers.
Theory: MIB are some form of alien phenomena.
Pro:
- They often are reported to display "unnatural" powers.
- The "Oz Factor" is often reported in conjunction with MIB encounters.
- Hypnosis
- Vanishing themselves or other objects
- Erasing audio and videotapes without touching them
- Causing machinery to cease to function, similar to UFO sightings
- They seem confused by idioms and human technology.
- Most match the description of the "Nordic" aliens.
- They often behave in a mechanical or inhuman way or are described as not looking wholly human.
Con:
- How do aliens benefit from silencing only some witnesses with intimidation?
- Govenment agents could easily be trained to behave oddly to discredit UFO witnesses.
- While people may be willing to believe that their neighbor saw inexplicable lights in the sky, they are going to be far more reticent to give credit if the same witness insists that a black suited alien told them to be quiet. This would be far more likely to inspire doubt than a report of a very sedate government official issuing the same warning.
- They tend to have hypnotic abilities. Try to keep in mind that they are behaving oddly and that you really don't want to invite them into your house.
- Try to force your will on them and resist what they want.
- Don't get in their car to show them where your saw the UFO. At best, they are just going to drive off without you.
- Their threats are almost always hollow. Please tell as many people as you can what you experienced.
- Do not give them any irreplaceable evidence. If you can, upload any video or photographic evidence to the internet immediately and send your friends to download it. Any other evidence should be hidden and locked.
- Do not let them convince you are wrong.
- Be skeptical of anything they say.
- Do not physically attack them. They are prone to violent suggestions. If they are actually government agents, this is a rather serious crime. If not, they are still fairly well built and often reported to move fast/vanish. Bashing them in the head isn't likely to do you any good, additionally, because there are likely more MIB around than are before you.
