Based upon what little I know about chimpanzees, I would be inclined to believe this is the simian equivalent of the girls in panties bearing fruit images (and occasionally scents, because, as a parent, you want lecherous boys confirming that your daughter's petite underwear do indeed smell of strawberries and, for some reason, mackerel). The chimp male sees the monkey pants and thinks, "Why, I could really go for the brain of a hyperventilating monkey right now. But failing that, I suppose fornication would not be out of line at this juncture."
Chimps always have high brow thoughts, especially about sexing up monkey pants.
