columbine kids got what they deserved
No, I'm pretty damned sure they got what YOU deserved. Call it a hunch.
Teenage malcontents, have a seat. Master Xen is about to give forth his teaching. High school does not matter. High school is not real life. I know it feels utterly crucial and every minor setback seems like a fatal disaster, but it is not. Those good looking people you hate have a lot of problems themselves. Really, I promise. And those who peak early invariable end up overweight kiddy factories with dead end jobs. It is those troubled multitudes who end up accomplishing great feats because they have struggled for understanding. Only by being challenged can we discover who we really are. Additionally, you are probably an outcast because you are creative or are creative because you are an outcast. These are good things in the real world. Character and a sense of humor are really fucking attractive.
But -- and this is a big one -- if you let high school get to you, you lose. If you shoot people up, you have forced so many people like you to go through so much of a harder time, to say nothing of the people you just killed there, Dylan. You lose and all of "your people" are taken down with you. Trust me, I had a long black coat and went to high school when Columbine happened. If Eric and Dylan hadn't killed themselves, I knew more than enough people who liked Marilyn Manson, wore long coats, and played Doom who would have been happy to have the honor of stringing them up. In the end, you are only dicking over your friends by being a murderous moron. If this is describing you, I promise you are far worse than the cheerleaders and footballers you deride.
